President's Volunteer Service Award

Service to our community and others is an important aspect of Cub Scouts. The Scout Oath tells us “to help other people at all times”.

The Presidential Volunteer Service Award recognizes those who have achieved the required number of hours of service over a 12-month time period or cumulative hours over the course of a lifetime.

Presidential recognition is a tremendous honor and sets you apart from your peers. Even though you may not seek recognition, your example can deliver a powerful message that encourages others to take action.

Track Service Hours

If your Cub Scout participates in eligible service hours outside of Pack 406 activites, those count too! (Eligible hours earned at Pack 406 service events are automatically recorded.)

Criteria

Cub Scouts registered with Pack 406 that meet the criteria are eligible for the PVSA.

  • Recipient(s) must be a United States citizen or a lawfully admitted permanent resident.

  • Awards are issued for service hours served within a 12-month time period (Sept. 1 to Aug. 30).

  • Awards are issued for volunteer service only.

  • Hours may not be reproduced for any other organization or award.

  • Court-ordered community service does not qualify for the award.
