This is an opportunity for Cub Scouts to participate in a local Veterans Day ceremony. Full Field Uniform (Class A) is required, please. This event may count toward Duty to Country/Citizenship, service hours, as well as the Support Our Military Award.

As part of our promise to “help other people at all times,” we’re excited to kick off our November Service Saturday & Sunday event — Scouting for Food! This is a great opportunity for our scouts to support the community while living out the Scout Law.

We will open with our Uniform Inspection. Plus, Pinewood Derby kick off with license photo and how-to session. Bear den will put together our Thanksgiving Basket donations.

We’re excited to invite you to one of the biggest events of the season — the Matinecock District Fall Camporee: Tigers to Eagles at Cathedral Pines County Park!

This is a weekend camping experience open to ALL scouts and families in our Pack (Tigers through AOL) — with fun stations, campfire programs, competitions, and great opportunities to connect with Troops and fellow Cub Scouts across the district.

A Pack 406 favorite returns!  Pack 406 is having a birthday party for Cub Scouts! Blue and Gold Celebration is a tradition in Cub Scout to celebrate the anniversary of the founding of the BSA on February 8, 1910. Join us for a fun traditional banquet!

Spend a night aboard one of the mightiest defenders of freedom for a truly unforgettable experience! Cost is $75 per person. Must register by Friday, September 13.

Pack 406 has been invited to this one-of-a-kind event! Monster Mash Glow Bash! $20 per scout/sibling which includes admission, skates, slice of pizza and a drink; $8 per chaperone which includes slice of pizza and a drink. Reservations must be made by October 22nd!

All cub scouts will meet local troops and learn about all the exciting things awaiting them in Scouts BSA! This is overnight or daytime!

Join us for a traditional Cub Scout evening "fake" campfire program with songs and skits! Halloween Costumes are preferred :) 

Come march with Pack 406 in your Class A uniform to celebrate South Huntington School District's 100th Anniversary Celebration during the Homecoming Parade.

Cost of admission: One item of nonperishable food per person! Seating opens at 7:45 p.m.; the movie will begin promptly by 8 p.m. Bring your chairs, snacks, and drinks! And don't forget to vote for your movie choice when registering!

Scouts of all ages and their friends are invited to participate in Matinecock District's FREE Huck Finn Snapper Derby! Registration is not required. 

All the gear you need will be provided by the district; you are welcome to bring your own tackle too. Come learn how to assemble your own fishing rod with bamboo poles (provided).

Get excited for another Pack 406 tradition aboard the Yankee III. The cost is $35 per person — friends and family are welcome! Join us for fishing, fun, and friendship aboard the Yankee III. Registration closes on July 10 or when we reach capacity.

Cub Scout summer camp is where it all begins, offering a thrilling outdoor program and the fabulous make-believe themes of Cub World with frontier forts, pirate ships, and more! Join us for a lifetime of memories with your scout!

Travel with Pack 406 to the frontiers of discovery at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Brookhaven National Lab! Hands-on family fun at the Science Learning Center with interactive exhibits, plus the secrets of magic will be scientifically revealed in an educational, entertaining show by the Super Scientific Circus! This event is FREE and open to the public (event details).

A Pack 406 tradition at West Hills! You can look forward to a day full of fun activities and a traditional campfire program. Plus overnight camping for those interested!

Join the New York Mets & the Suffolk County Council, Boy Scouts of America Scouts Day at Citi Field! Each special ticket includes a 2024 Scout Day Patch and access to a pregame on-field parade. Parade access will be limited to troops and troop leaders.

Join Pack 406 as we clean up our beaches as our Service Saturday! Wear Class B and bring/wear gloves! Meet at the main building on the beach and don't forget your sun protection and water!

Pack 406 will be celebrating the diversity, pride and community of Huntington. The parade starts at Huntington High School at 10 a.m. and ends at Stimson Middle School with the Unity Fun Day with food, games and fun for all!

Beam up! Pack 406 has been invited to this one-of-a-kind event! Alien visits and photo ops, Alien Costume Contests, Alien Trivia, games and more! $19 per scout/sibling which includes admission, skates, slice of pizza and a drink; $8 per chaperone which includes slice of pizza and a drink. Reservations must be made by Saturday, March 9th!

The East Northport Jewish Center invites Scouts to participate in a special Shabbat at 7:30 p.m. Scouts: Wear your Cub Scout rank hat! Registration is not required. This is an opportunity for Jewish scouts to represent their religious pride among the Scouts.
