Annual Turkey Trot

Join us for a traditional Cub Scout family walk/run around the WWHS track. We will then warm up with hot chocolate. Please remember this is to help beneft Joseph's Storehouse food pantry!

Pack 406 has been invited to this one-of-a-kind event! Monster Mash Glow Bash! $20 per scout/sibling which includes admission, skates, slice of pizza and a drink; $8 per chaperone which includes slice of pizza and a drink. Reservations must be made by October 22nd!

Outdoor Family Movie Night

Cost of admission: One item of nonperishable food per person! Seating opens at 7:45 p.m.; the movie will begin promptly by 8 p.m. Bring your chairs, snacks, and drinks! And don't forget to vote for your movie choice when registering!

Huck Finn Snapper Derby

Scouts of all ages and their friends are invited to participate in Matinecock District's FREE Huck Finn Snapper Derby! Registration is not required. 

All the gear you need will be provided by the district; you are welcome to bring your own tackle too. Come learn how to assemble your own fishing rod with bamboo poles (provided).

Travel with Pack 406 to the frontiers of discovery at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Brookhaven National Lab! Hands-on family fun at the Science Learning Center with interactive exhibits, plus the secrets of magic will be scientifically revealed in an educational, entertaining show by the Super Scientific Circus! Join the New York Mets & the Suffolk County Council, Boy Scouts of America Scouts Day at Citi Field! Each special ticket includes a 2024 Scout Day Patch and access to a pregame on-field parade. Parade access will be limited to troops and troop leaders.

A Pack 406 favorite returns!  Pack 406 is having a birthday party for Cub Scouts! Blue and Gold Celebration is a tradition in Cub Scout to celebrate the anniversary of the founding of the BSA on February 8, 1910. Join us for a fun traditional banquet!

2024 PineWood Derby Race Day

The big race will be at at Glorai Dei Olsen Hall (22 E 18th St). Scouts and leaders should wear Field Uniform (Class A). Come for the race, stay for the raffle baskets! Food will be provided on race day.

Race-ready cars will be turned in at impound! Cars must be registered at impound in order to race! If you are unable to attend, someone else may register the car for you.

This is an opportunity for Cub Scouts to participate in a local Veterans Day ceremony. Full Field Uniform (Class A) is required, please. This event may count toward Duty to Country/Citizenship, service hours, as well as the Support Our Military Award.
