Council Camporee is a major scouting event that only occurs once every 3 years. Don’t miss it! Council has planned a huge program with something for everyone. It is a daylong ‘carnival’ type event packed with activities for all ages. In the evening, there are multiple stages with live performances concluding with a laser light show. Cub Scouts, come for the day! Webelos may camp overnight!

A Pack 406 favorite returns!  Pack 406 is having a birthday party for Cub Scouts! Blue and Gold Celebration is a tradition in Cub Scout to celebrate the anniversary of the founding of the BSA on February 8, 1910. Join us for a great party!

Online ticket sales begin November 1! This is not a Pack 406-sponsored event, and we are not arranging group tickets, rentals, lessons, or lodging. Please make your own arrangements. This is a fun family outing you can make a weekend from and have a group of friends to hang with!

The Dix Hills Jewish Centers invites Scouts to participate in a special Shabbat at 6:30 p.m. (yes, it is early). Scouts: Wear your Cub Scout rank hat! Registration is not required. This is an opportunity for Jewish scouts to represent their religious pride among the Scouts.

We will open with our Bobcat Ceremony welcoming our newest Cub Scouts to Pack 406. Plus, Pinewood Derby kick off with license photo and how-to session. Webelos will have special presentation from Troop 406!

Join us for a traditional Cub Scout evening campfire program with songs, skits, and s'mores! Scouts should wear their Activity Uniform (Class B). We will have a fun run/walk to raise money for Gloria Dei and are asking for a $10 donation from each participating family.

This is an opportunity for Cub Scouts to participate in a local Veterans Day ceremony. Full Field Uniform (Class A) is required, please. This event may count toward Duty to Country/Citizenship, service hours, as well as the Support Our Military Award.

Spend a night aboard one of the mightiest defenders of freedom for a truly unforgettable experience! Cost is $76 per person. Must register by Friday, September 16.

Scout Sunday is an opportunity for Cub Scouts to publicly demonstrate the 12th point of the Scout Law: A Scout is Reverent. Gloria Dei invites all Scouts to participate in a special service officiated by Pastor Amanda Nesvold. Scouts should wear their full Field Uniform (Class A).

Sunday, December 5 is the officially New York Jets Scout Day vs. the Philadelphia Eagles! A portion of the tickets sales will go to support Scouting in Suffolk County.

Pack 406 will be marching with Gloria Dei and Troop 34 in the 11th Annual Huntington Red, White & Blue Holiday Parade! Cub Scouts will march with leaders while parents get to enjoy the parade (one parent per Lion scout may march with us). Full details coming soon!

Join us for a run run/ walk around the West Hills field to raise money for Gloria Dei. We are asking for a $10 donation from each participating family. After your turkey trot, warm up with a hot chocolate by the fire!
