Pack 406 has been proudly serving the Melville/South Huntington area since 1965.

Our Cub Scouts get to experience so many fun and interesting things like camping, fishing, hiking, sporting events, overnights on battleships, shooting sports, and so much more.

Cub Scout Pack 406 welcomes boys and girls in Kindergarten through 5th Grade!

Our Pack meetings are held once a month (during school year) on Fridays at 7 p.m. at the Maplewood Intermediate Center in South Huntington UFSD.

Interested in Cub Scouting?

The Cub Scouting Program focuses on aiding young boys and girls in character development, spiritual growth, good citizenship, sportsmanship and fitness, family understanding, respectful relationships, friendly service, fun and adventure, and personal achievements.

Besides providing a positive place where kids can be kids, Cub Scouting focuses on building character, improving physical fitness, teaching practical skills, and developing a spirit of community service.

Apart from the fun and excitement of Cub Scout activities, the Scout Oath, the Scout Law, the Cub Scout motto, and the Cub Scout sign, the Cub Scout Handshake, and the Cub Scout Salute all teach good citizenship and contribute to a young person's sense of belonging.
